Experimentation Furrowing

To begin experimenting with fabrics and techniques to create my 3D piece I decided to try furrowing. 

Furrowing is a sewing techniques used to create texture in fabric. 

furrowing is essential when u create a pattern by hand sewing and when you out the thread through it is supposed to created a pater through the fabric. I decided to piratic this technique because for my first 3D piece I want to create a flower accessory, essentially a flower chocker. But to create this I wanted to try using furrowing.

These were my first attempts at furrowing, I found it a very simple process but I wasn't feeling very sure if this was the techniqpwe that I wanted to use because it did not seem very stable and while it is very manipulative, I feel like it might be too manipulative and wasn't really holding a single shape. 

 I then decided to try the furrowing on a different fabric, this time I used a while mesh lace. I actually did not work very well with this fabric. As you can see from the photos, it just pulled the fabric closer together instead of create=ing a pattern which Is what I was trying t chive.
