Experimentation /3D Prototype

To create my flower chocker I decided to search for another approach since I felt the furrowing wasn't working out. All I did was decided to search of how to make flower chocker on YouTube! this tutorial was extremely helpful and very simple.
Although, the tutorial didn't totally work for me. To create the 3D piece I picked up this stretchy chiffon fabric that had a beautiful blue tone and shine which is exactly what I was looking for. it also has a little bit of tiny iridescent glitter which I love that it it gives it that fantasy forest vibe. it also has a wavy pattern and that really reminded me of the water in the painting and the photo I took during my primary research.  but since it wasn't the same fabric that she used, my fabric had a lot of struggle in the sewing machine, so instead I hand sewn.

Final Prototype

To do this I sew the two sides of a rectangle shaped piece of fabric, then I pull the end to create the ruffles. I then roll in one corner of the fabric into the center and sew the rest of the fabric around the center like I am wrapping it.

These were the 1st and 2nd attempts of me trying this technique. With every flower I was able to get the hang of it more. Then my 3rd attempt became my prototype because I was very happy with it. I really enjoyed this process and I was very happy with the outcomes and it was exactly what I was looking for.

Here is a close up of the fabrics and the photo I took during collecting primary research.
