Primary Research

 For my primary research I am going to be experimenting with fabric manipulation, and fabric draping, also using more accessories and using a constant color theme. . 

To begin doing this, in my art portfolio session on Monday I went around the campus and took photos of nature and objects in or around the DMU and the Vjay Patel building that inspired me. Things in the photos that inspired me were colors, patterns, textures, and shapes. 

I took this first photo because i was inspired by the shapes and colours of the water. This is a relation to the water that Venus is emerging from in the painting. It adds a really nice pattern and this re,Indy’s me of a iridescent fabric. 

I took this photo because of the gathering of flowers. Especially these are white and pink flowers which really go with the color of the painting as well as the tiny flowers. The way this photo is using the flowers around the head it gives me the idea of making a flower accesory. 

These flowers also give me an inspiration i love how big and bright they are. This is a very pretty ruby pink color and the big flowers remind me of patterns from renaissance fabrics.
