Initial Research: Steampunk Fashion

 Another part of aspect of fashion that I wanted to research for this project is Steampunk fashion. 

Steampunk fashion is a subgenre of science fiction or a fantasy that combines elements of 19th-century Victorian-era fashion and technology with steam-powered machinery.It is characterized by a blend of antique and futuristic elements, incorporating Victorian-era clothing such as corsets, top hats, and waistcoats, as well as brass, gears, and other mechanical components.

Steampunk fashion is often associated with a sense of adventure and exploration because of this and the mix of past and futuristic items I believe it fits into the time travel theme.

Steampunk fashion incorporates a variety of textures and materials, such as leather, lace, and velvet, as well as metals such as brass, copper, and bronze. 

Accessories such as goggles, pocket watches, and leather gloves are also popular in steampunk fashion.
