Water Dress Research
To create my water dress for my final projects, I find inspiration from the ocean and its properties.
I can also find inspiration from rain, waterfalls, and water movement. Water flows very soft and shines but is also very strong and big and powerful.

These dresses were inspired by the colors and patterns and lights of the ocean. They are also very flowing and free and less restricting. This inspires me to focus more in the way water behaves to connect the ideas together.
This was my first initial sketch when thinking about the water dress. for the sleeves I was inspired by conch which are like very big seashells. they have sort of a flower look and a nice pink tone.
I should incorporate different shades and tones of blue, lucid patterns, or shimmering fabrics.
What fabrics specifically would this dress be made out of and what embellishment to create the water glimmer? Consider a thicker material for the conch sleeves, such as a silk or satin?
